Church Policies

Revised Policy on Contributions - College Evangelical Lutheran Church financial contributions are identified in the following categories:  Core Ministry (previously identified as General Operations or General Budget), Capital Campaign and Bound Conscience Fund.  Core Ministry and Capital Campaign giving may be given on the same check, with the distribution identified on the check and envelop.  Bound Conscience giving must be a separate check and a separate/specific envelop must be used.  The Finance Ministry team asks that contributions/giving to areas such as Salem Food Pantry, Roanoke Area Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, Campership and Snack Buddy be written directly to the end benefactor.  These restricted contributions may be either sent to the designated unit or placed in the collection plate and the Finance Ministry team will see that they are sent to the designated benefactor.
