Stewardship Team
GRATITUDE * FAITHFULNESS * GENEROSITY * JOY
These are the pillars of Christian Stewardship that inspire and guide us:
Gratitude for all that God has done for us and provides for us
“Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, let us be thankful”…Hebrews 12:28
Being Faithful in using what God has entrusted to us
“I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit”…John 15:5
A Generous spirit
“A generous man will himself be blessed”…Proverbs 22:9
The Joy that we experience and share
“…God loves a cheerful giver”…II Corinthians 9:7
Stewardship Ministry Team activites include:
- An Annual Financial Appeal to encourage each member to make a commitment to regular, proportionate giving. This is normally conducted in the spring of each year, after Easter.
- Ongoing education about Christian giving within the congregation in order to foster faithful stewardship of time, talents, and money.
- Communication within CLC about how faithful Christian stewardship in our congregation impacts the body of Christ, as well as our neighbors in our community and throughout the world.
The Stewardship Ministry Team meets as required throughout the year. Minutes are kept for each meeting, and are on file with the Church Council. The current members of the Stewardship Ministry Team are Gary Sahm: Chairperson, Mary Jo Sahm, Glen Rosendahl, Roy Sisson, Bob Ward, Paul Henrickson, Darrell Semones, and Emerson Harvey.
