Confirmation
Confirmation is preparation for the public affirmation of faith made in the 8th grade year. It begins with 6th and 7th graders during the Sunday School hour. Students study the Old and New Testament before they graduate to a seminar class in the 8th grade to study the Catechism in depth. You can also check out our new curriculum online - Here We Stand.
What does it take to be confirmed at College Lutheran Church? More than you might think! At the end of their 8th Grade year, our youth are expected to be able to answer any and all of the questions in the booklet, "Questions a Confirmand Should Be Able to Answer." They are expected to be familiar with the answers to questions in our Confirmation Booklet - download your copy here.
Confirmation takes place on Pentecost Sunday each year, and is a celebration of our young people's diligence to publicly proclaim their faith and Christian walk.
