Quilters Group
The College Lutheran Church Quilters are a group of women who for many years have met weekly at the church to make quilts. Originally, quilts went to Lutheran World Relief for needy people around the world. Over time, quilts were given to new members at their baptism and then we added to our ministry by giving each graduating high school senior a quilt. Our quilts are also given locally to the Salvation Army and the Rescue Mission.
Some of our members who cannot come to church still contribute by cutting fabric into squares at their home. Hundred of quilts have been given away; but, for the quilters, the fellowship is as important as the quilts we make.
